Privacy Notice (KVKK)

This information notice has been prepared by Mak Rota, as data controller, under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), to inform you about your personal data processed through the website at makrota.com.

2. Personal data processed

• Identity and contact details: Name and surname, phone number, email address.
• Request details: Service type, number of passengers, travel date and time, pick-up, destination and stop addresses, luggage and special-needs notes, message content and the preferred time for a call-back.
• Transaction security data: IP address, browser information, form submission time and consent record.

Please do not enter special categories of personal data, such as health information, in the free-text fields of the forms. For a special need (e.g. a wheelchair), sharing only as much information as is needed to plan the service is enough.

3. Purposes of processing

• Receiving, assessing and answering your quote, contact and call-back requests
• Preparing a quote for the transport service you request and carrying out pre-contract communication
• Ensuring the security of the website and forms and preventing abuse
• Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from authorised bodies

4. Legal grounds

Your personal data are processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) of the KVKK: processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract, provided that it directly relates to it; processing is mandatory for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations; and processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.

5. Method of collection

Your personal data are collected electronically through the quote, contact and call-back forms on the website.

6. Transfer

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to business partners providing hosting and email services for the website and, within the scope of legal obligations, to authorised public institutions. If the servers of the service providers are located abroad, the transfer is carried out in accordance with the conditions of Article 9 of the KVKK.

7. Retention period

Your personal data are kept for as long as required by the purpose of processing and the retention periods set out in the relevant legislation; at the end of these periods they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller you have the right to:

• learn whether your personal data are processed,
• request information if they have been processed,
• learn the purpose of processing and whether they are used accordingly,
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom they have been transferred,
• request correction if they have been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
• request deletion or destruction within the framework of the conditions in Article 7 of the KVKK,
• request that corrections, deletions and destructions be notified to third parties to whom the data have been transferred,
• object to a result against you arising from analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems,
• claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

9. Application

You can send requests regarding your rights in writing, together with information identifying you, to the address given on the contact page or by email to info@makrota.com. Applications are concluded as soon as possible depending on the nature of the request, and within thirty days at the latest.
