City Transfers

Chauffeured group transfers within the same city between hotels, offices, event venues, restaurants and meeting points. Short-distance transport planned around traffic and parking.

City transfers are for short journeys where timing matters. Whether it is taking a team from the hotel to a meeting room, driving a group to a restaurant for dinner or moving guests from the ceremony to the reception venue, they keep the group together and get everyone there in one go.

Why plan transfers within the city?

When a large group travels by taxi or private cars, people arrive at different times, parking becomes a problem and the programme runs late. With a planned transfer, the vehicle is at the meeting point at the agreed time and takes the group together. This makes a big difference, especially when you need to be on time for the start of an event.

Traffic, parking and drop-off points

In city transfers, travel time is determined more by traffic than by distance. That is why the departure time is planned with a margin depending on the time of day and the route. It should also be checked in advance whether there is a suitable place at the destination for the vehicle to drop off passengers; in some historic areas, pedestrian zones or residential complexes, stopping large vehicles may be restricted.

Several short transfers in one day

On an event day, the vehicle can collect the group in the morning and drop them at the venue, make another transfer at midday and take everyone home in the evening. For such programmes, keeping the vehicle with you all day is compared with having it come only at certain times. Which option suits you depends on the waiting time between runs.

The difference between city and intercity transfers

Within the city, journey time is determined by traffic; between cities, by distance and the break plan. If you are travelling to another city, see the planning steps on our intercity transfer page.

Who is it for?

  • Companies taking participants between hotels and meeting or event venues
  • Families moving guests between the ceremony and the dinner venue
  • Groups touring restaurants, museums or events
  • Organisers collecting passengers from several points in the city

Choosing a vehicle

In the city, the size of the vehicle depends not only on the number of passengers but also on the width of the streets and the suitability of the drop-off point. A minibus or midibus is better in narrow streets, while a coach suits large groups departing from a single point.

City Transfers – frequently asked questions

What if traffic causes a delay on a city transfer?
The departure time is planned with a margin, taking into account traffic on the route at that time of day. For events with a critical start time, we recommend leaving earlier.
Can the vehicle stay with us all day?
Yes. If there are long waits between runs, full-day use may be better; for short, infrequent runs, separate transfers may suit you more. Both options can be compared in the quote.
