One driver is enough; no compulsory break is required by law (a short break can be taken for comfort). Under the regulations, drivers of passenger vehicles may not drive for more than 4.5 hours without a break or more than 9 hours in total within 24 hours; after 4.5 hours of driving, a break of at least 45 minutes is taken. Because of the speed limits for coaches and minibuses of 100 km/h on motorways and 90 km/h on dual carriageways, journey times are longer than by car.
